Based on my photos of the Georgian Bay shore in the north Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula, Ontario, Canada, The Spring Shoreline series reflects the connection between internal (psychological, spiritual) and external (physical) worlds. Organic configurations of dolostone and limestone are imbued with purpose, emotion, states of being, and conceptual frames. Adopting a bird’s eye perspective, the paintings convey a sense of omniscience and offer the onlooker space for self-reflexivity. For the creator and the viewer alike, the paintings beg the question, “What do you see in the spring shoreline?"
