The Spring Shoreline
Based on my photos of the rocky shoreline in the North Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula, The Spring Shoreline paintings portray a space where emotional and physical landscapes intertwine. Organic configurations of dolostone and limestone are imbued with purpose, emotion, states of being, and conceptual frames. Adopting a bird’s eye perspective, the paintings convey a sense of omniscience, offer the onlooker space for self-reflexivity, and beg the question, “What do you see in the spring shoreline?"
